Hi folks, I was wondering if someone could help me.  Under windows, we are trying to create a batch job that will use wtsubmit to execute a job.  

When it completes wtsubmit has a result code.  We know what the codes mean.

What we'd like to do is do something else based of the code.  Does anyone know of a variable or something that is set when wtsubmit is run under windows?

Currently i've had a lot of my employees come to me with the problem that they are able to log into the portal but the ESS dropdown is not showing.  I've verified that all of the users have the ESS role in Lawson Security and have also tried using an SQL query to reset their ESS with no luck.  Anyone experience this problem and have any success troubleshooting it?

Hi there!

When I Create a CSV file from Portal, it creates a .prop file in my print directory that has alias names for some of my field names (which end up in the field name headers of the CSV file created).  This does not happen when creating from LID (it uses the field names from my .rpt as expected).  For the life of me, I cannot determine where these aliases are coming from.  Since I have 2 fields with the same name from different tables (apinvoice, appayment) with the same alias, my CSV file is confusing when the names are replaced like that.  I want to stop the alias replacement in my CSV file.  Is this possible?

Here is an example of the alias I am referring to in my .prop file: - where is it getting the text "Vendor ID"?

Applied all patches and lawson runs fine through LID...

But in portal it acts funny. When you do anything on a screen - the screen icons and names change, we also sec security violations (which is strange as we have security turned off in LAUA and LS).....we are still on LAUA.

Please see print screen - it is not an easy problem to explain

Lawson provides a method of replacing the Lawson Logo on the Portal Home page. We would also like to replace the center frame where 'Portal Common Tasks' and 'Useful Information' is displayed with a company logo. This would probably be a .jpeg file. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks -

Not sure if this is the right area to post... Need a fix for the following

When attempting to access Lawson using internet explorer 11 I get the following error message:

The Lawson Portal does not support this browser: Netscape.

Use the Portal Installation Guide to determine the system requirements needed for running the Lawson Portal.

We just went live with Lawson 10 today. We have users who use the search option in portal very often. For example, they will be on HR11 and go to the drill screen on Employees. When they hit the magnifying glass to search / filter, it does not work. I can clear out their browser cache, log them out, close out IE and then the option will be back. Later on the search option will be gone again and they have to do this process all over again. The 3 checkmarks under the drill tab in user options in portal are all unchecked. Their IE cahce is set to renew with each visit to pages. Is there a fix for this issue??

Hello,

I am experiencing some intermittent Logon issues in our Production and Test environments.   When you logon it will spin and then blank out the username and password fields after about 30 seconds.  This goes on for about 10-15 minutes then clears up for a period of time and comes back.  This happens in both our Test and Production environments.  We have bounced both application servers and DB server with no luck.  The only think that has changed in the past 2 weeks is that we installed Yearend W2 patching.  Does anyone have any ideas or any Logs that I should be looking at pertaining to logon/authentication?  Thanks in advance.

I am in charge of overseeing the security of our new (aka migration) to the new Lawson environment. The new design apparently introduced a SharePoint server with ming.le. Can anyone provide me with a brief high level overview? What confuses me is our Lawson admin has made references saying the SharePoint\ming.le server really does not need to be 100% working for us to "go live" with the new environment.

In the administrator account, I attempt to add a user to access list for a bookmark.  I click the "Add" link.  The user select windows appears.  I enter my my search criteria and click "Find".  The resulting list of users is entiely made up of asterisk user names and user ids.  For example, the last and first names are *****,***** and the user id is *****.

I have the PortalBookmarkAdminRole assigned to the administrator account.


Does any one know what is causing this?

We primarily use IE at our corporate office.   There is a small group of users that will need to use Firefox because they have other software that only works on that web browser.

 

The problem I'm having is that the Lawson "status bar" that is normally at the bottom left side of the screen is not there.  Things like "Inquiry Complete". "Job Added", etc., are not displayed at the bottom.  Does anyone happen to have experience with Lawson on Firefox and if so, how do I get that status bar to appear?  Thanks a lot!!

I recently started a new job and was given the website to log on to my job's employee portal. I solved the IE compatibility issue but now I have a new issue. I am unable to load some pages. When I click on W2 or Paystub I get a server not found page. The url for those pages are different than the portal's url. The url format is http://xxx.xxxx.local:8001. I've tried adding the url to the trusted sites in IE but nothing helps. I feel like it's a firewall issue on my side but I'm stumped. Any help will be appreciated.

 Hi, we have a new user that's setup with the same access as other users. She is trying to submit a job but for some reason that job never gets submitted and there is no error message provided. When accessing the job she created, she is not able to click on any of the buttons including submit, reports, job sched, print Mgr. I sent the log to Lawson and there is not errors in the log. Our admin guys says there is no issues with her security access.  

Here is an error I got when I tried to replicate the issue:

I thought that there was a way to fix the https/portal error on MAC's for Employee Self Service options.  We can go directly to the bookmarks.  Anyone know a solution?  This is version 9.

Dear All,

We are on Lawson 9.x .  currently, our portal is pointing to http  (http:/Server-Name/:81/lawson/portal/index.htm)

We want to move to https (https:/Server-Name/:81/lawson/portal/index.htm) from http.

Any idea how this can be achieved.

We are in the process of upgrading to Lawson 10.  Our companies default browser of choice is Chrome.  Some of our users, when trying to view a report as a PDF, it is making them save first.  However, when I view the same report the same way, it just pops up in Adobe viewer.  I had the user log into IE and try the view as PDF, in IE it pops up in Adobe without making them save first.  Therefore my assumption is that this is a Chrome issue and not a Lawson issue.  I have reviewed my Chrome settings to the users and do not see any differences, but I am not guaranteeing that I am looking at the right things.

 

Does anyone have any ideas?
